Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our DataWarehouse team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions using Microsoft Azure Cloud, primarily Databricks. The ideal candidate will have deep Python and SQL knowledge, proficiency working with Azure Resources, and robust skills in developing and consuming REST APIs (Kafka producers are our main source of data). You will collaborate with multi-dimensional international teams building the Global DWH for the company and supporting Reporting and Data Analytics teams ensuring the integrity and performance of our data solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks.

Write efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code for data processing and analysis.

Develop and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization (SQL Databases, Postgres, MongoDB).

As part of a DevOps team, from an infrastructure perspective, be responsible to make the best choices from a cost, performance and security point of view.

Create and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between different services and applications.

Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and other developers to define and implement new features.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain high code quality.

Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance.

Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, models, and workflows.

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Engineer/Developer in Data Warehousing solutions (especially cloud based). Minimum 2 years.

Deep Python and SQL knowledge, proficiency working with REST APIs and MongoDB.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Databricks Dashboards.

Overall experience with Azure Resources and especially Databricks or other cloud-based data platforms.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in testing user stories.
