A Sr. (Senior) Data Engineer in SCRC-ARTS Tech (GTS) designs, builds, and owns data pipelines and solutions that support international trade compliance and supply chain efficiency. This role requires strong data engineering skills, including data modeling and database design, along with an understanding of GTS functionalities, international regulations, and integrating various systems. The data engineer would work with other Software Development Engineers, BI engineering teams, and business stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions for trade and product compliance. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll start your day collaborating with cross-functional partners to understand their data needs. You might spend time optimizing ETL pipelines, process automation, reviewing code with team members, or designing new data models. You'll participate in technical discussions to solve complex problems. Integrate data from various internal and external systems. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of trade data.
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines - Experience with SQL - Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS - Experience mentoring team members on best practices - CDK Fluency
