As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will lead BI solution design, manage stakeholder communication, and drive the adoption of scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

1. Dashboard & Report Development

• Lead the design and development of

  enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards

  with complex KPIs, drill-downs, and cross-filter interactions.
• Build optimized

  data models

  , set up relationships, and implement best practices for DAX calculations.
• Create reusable BI templates, themes, and governance frameworks.
  

2. Data Modeling & Transformation

• Own end-to-end development of

  Power Query (M)

  transformations and data preparation logic.
• Work extensively with

  SQL

  to design models, optimize queries, and validate data accuracy.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate data from

  Azure (ADF, Synapse, Databricks)

  , Snowflake, or on-prem systems.

3. Consulting & Stakeholder Management

• Engage with business SMEs, product owners, and client leadership to

  understand requirements

  and translate them into BI solutions.
• Gather business KPIs, define success metrics, and lead

  requirement workshops

• Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, consultative manner.
  

4. Performance Optimization & Governance

• Optimize report performance (DAX tuning, aggregation layers, incremental refresh).
  
• Implement

  Row-Level Security (RLS)

  and workspace governance.
• Conduct peer reviews and enforce BI development best practices within the team.
  

5. Leadership & Delivery

• Mentor junior BI developers and drive code reviews.
  
• Support project management with estimation, planning, and sprint deliverables.
  
• Ensure high-quality, scalable BI solutions that align with Tredence’s consulting standards.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–9 years of hands-on experience with

  Power BI

  (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, RLS).
• Strong proficiency in

  SQL

  (writing complex queries, tuning, optimization).
• Experience working with

  Azure Data Services

  : ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and semantic modeling.
  
• Experience working with large datasets and building scalable, performance-optimized dashboards.
  
• Excellent communication and

  client-facing consulting skills

  .
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments typical of analytics consulting.
  

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with Snowflake, Python, or R.
  
• Domain experience in

  Retail, CPG, Telecom, BFSI, Healthcare, or Supply Chain

• Exposure to end-to-end analytics pipelines (ingestion modeling visualization).
