Senior Cyber Security Engineer

As a Senior Analyst at our organization, your primary focus will be on increasing the capabilities of each application team to develop more secure products by design and by default. You will ensure that our software and systems are designed and implemented to the highest security standards to protect our data at rest and in-transit. Here are your key responsibilities: - Contribute to the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks across the organization. This includes performing risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, and tracking the progress of risk management. - Support enterprise-wide information security by conducting regular security assessments, ensuring compliance with security standards, and providing recommendations for improvements. - Assist in the execution of data protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information. This involves monitoring data access and implementing monitoring and encryption solutions. - Participate in threat detection, analysis, and response efforts to protect the organization from cyber threats. This involves monitoring security alerts, conducting incident investigations, and coordinating with other teams to address security incidents. - Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations. Provide security guidance and support for various projects and initiatives. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field - At least 3 years of information security experience - Familiarity with cybersecurity industry frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO27001 - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders - Excellent analytical skills to assess and mitigate security risks - Ability to multi-task and work independently or with a team on moderate to complex assignments using independent professional discretion and judgment, transitioning quickly between projects.
