Senior Credit Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for credit underwriting for Retail / Affordable Housing business across assigned branches or regions. The role involves thorough customer assessment, adherence to credit policies, and ensuring sound portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite credit proposals for self-employed and business customers as per policy.
• Conduct field visits and cross-verification to ensure authenticity of information.
• Ensure timely decision-making to meet defined TATs.
• Evaluate and recommend proposals in line with organizational policies.
• Train sales and credit teams on product and credit policies.
• Review vendors, existing and delinquent customers for portfolio quality.
• Analyze portfolio behavior to identify, reduce, or mitigate risks.
• Evaluate collateral, legal, and technical documents for associated risks.
• Provide market feedback to improve credit policy and process efficiency.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company information.

Education & Experience

• Qualification:

  Graduate / PGDBM / MBA Finance

• Experience:

• 4–8 years for Area Credit Manager
• 3–5 years for Central Credit Manager
