The role in Production & Operations within the HSSE Group at bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) centre in Pune involves leveraging bp's engineering and technical expertise to provide high-quality services to hydrocarbons and new energy businesses globally. TSI combines diverse engineering capabilities to offer technical services in engineering, maintenance, optimization, data processes, projects, and subsurface areas. The primary goal is to deliver safe, affordable, and low-emission energy solutions while fostering innovation in work practices. Collaborating with engineers, scientists, traders, and business professionals, you will work towards reducing carbon emissions and developing more sustainable energy practices. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about driving change, bringing fresh perspectives, ambition, and a willingness to challenge existing norms as we strive towards achieving net zero emissions. Key responsibilities of the role include developing and managing contractor safety documentation, providing expertise in Contractor Safety (CS) to support global operational activities, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, and driving standardization and improvement opportunities in contractor safety across business units. Additionally, you will act as a central point of contact for contractor safety matters, lead engagement sessions, represent bp in external associations, and oversee the implementation of contractor safety strategies. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a degree or diploma in HSE, engineering, or leadership, possess NEBOSH or equivalent certification, and have site/operational experience in production, wells, projects, or other related areas. Deep technical knowledge of contractor safety, broad HSSE experience, project management skills, and the ability to develop and communicate HSSE-related documents and strategies are essential. Stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills are also key requirements for this role. This position operates on a UK/US shift schedule with up to 10% travel expected. Relocation assistance is not available, and remote working is not an option for this role. The desired skills for the role include HSSE auditing, industry knowledge, OMS and bp requirements, process safety culture, process safety management, risk management, and safety leadership.
