Role Overview

Construction Estimator

accurate, timely, and competitive estimates

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare

  detailed quantity takeoffs

  and

  cost estimates

  for commercial and Public projects in the US.
• Develop

  preliminary budgets

  and

  detailed cost breakdowns

  (labor, materials, equipment, overhead).
• Review

  plans, drawings, and specifications

  to assess project scope and identify cost factors.
• Collaborate with

  project managers

  ,

  architects

  , and

  subcontractors

  to validate assumptions and clarify scope.
• Define and prepare

  subcontractor scope sheets

  and bid packages.
• Use

  estimating software

  to generate and document accurate estimates.
• Track and update project costs, providing reports and recommendations to ensure budget compliance.
  
• Participate in

  bid preparation

  ,

  proposal submissions

  , and client presentations.
• Maintain comprehensive records for future reference and audit.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in

  Civil Engineering

  ,

  Construction Management

  , or a related field preferred.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  4+ years

  of experience in

  construction estimating

  or

  project management

  (US-based projects preferred).

• Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in

  PlanSwift

  ,

  Bluebeam Revu

  ,

  On-Screen Takeoff

  , or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of

  US construction materials

  ,

  methods

  , and

  cost structures

  .
• Experience with

  Procore

  ,

  UDA Construction Online

  , and

  MS Office (Excel, Teams, Word)

  .

• Communication:

  Excellent English skills for client coordination and reporting.

• Soft Skills:

  High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, analytical mindset, and team collaboration.

• Work Ethic:

  Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently during US hours.

• Experience working with

  US General Contractors or Estimating Firms
