Role & responsibilities Role Description Overview: Senior coder for EM OP, EM IP Specialty. Coder is accountable to manage day to day activities of coding the Patients chart & Diagnosis report. Responsibility Areas: 1. Coding or auditing charts, based on requirements 2. Updating/Clearing the production/pending reports 3. To work closely with the team leader. 4. To review emails for any updates 5. Identify issues and escalate the same to the immediate supervisor Skills Required: Sound knowledge in Medical Coding/ MDM guidelines concept. Understand the client requirements and specifications of the project. Meet the productivity targets of clients within the stipulated time (Daily & Monthly) Applying the instructions/updates received from the client during production. Coding or auditing charts, based on requirements. Prepare and Maintain reports Good Knowledge on Anatomy & Physiology Excellent Knowledge on ICD & CPT Good Computer Skills Above Average Communication Skills Good Reporting Skills.
