Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Deutsche Bank, you play a crucial role in the Google Cloud adoption program, focusing on re-platforming and re-architecting solutions onto the cloud. You collaborate with various teams to define and execute scalable and compliant infrastructure strategies across multiple cloud environments. Your responsibilities include providing technical leadership, driving re-use, and improving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) engineering capability. Additionally, you make strategic design decisions to simplify architecture, reduce technical debt, and leverage the engineering benefits of Google Cloud. Key Responsibilities: - Define and build application architectures for re-platform or re-architect strategies, implementing blueprints and patterns for common application architectures. - Collaborate across various areas such as Cloud Platform, Security, Data, Risk & Compliance to create optimal solutions, increase re-use, and share best practices. - Drive optimizations in the cloud Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, enhancing productivity with tools and techniques. - Enable the adoption of practices like Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps to automate tasks and enhance stability. - Implement Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and governance frameworks supporting self-service infrastructure provisioning. - Collaborate with enterprise security, risk, and audit teams to ensure cloud compliance and controls. - Mentor and lead a team of cloud engineers, fostering innovation, automation, and reliability. - Contribute to the cloud governance board and cloud community of practice. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience implementing applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and defining cloud-native application architectures. - Proficiency in automation, testing, deployment, security, and compliance through Infrastructure as Code. - Strong understanding of DevSecOps, Kubernetes, GitOps principles, and cloud networking. - Experience with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, and cloud services (GCP preferred). - Expertise in leading Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning at scale.,
