Senior Civil Engineer

Position Summary

• Project Planning and Scheduling:

  Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures. Monitor progress against the schedule and take corrective action as needed.

• Site Supervision:

  Provide full-time, effective supervision of construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed according to

  approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  .

• Resource Management:

  Coordinate and manage the activities of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure the optimal utilization of

  manpower, machinery, and materials

  .

• Documentation:

  Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, material consumption records, and measurement books.

B. Quality Assurance and Control

• Quality Checks:

  Implement and rigorously enforce the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) plan. Conduct regular inspections and tests on materials and workmanship.

• Specification Compliance:

  Ensure all construction conforms strictly to the

  National Building Code (NBC), relevant IS Codes, and project specifications

  .

• Defect Rectification:

  Identify non-conformities and defects promptly and ensure timely and effective corrective measures are implemented.

C. Technical & Procurement Support

• Drawing Review:

  Review and check architectural, structural, and services drawings for constructability, coordination, and adherence to project requirements. Suggest necessary modifications for efficient execution.

• Bill of Quantities (BOQ):

  Assist in the preparation, verification, and finalization of

  BOQs and estimated costs

  for various work packages.

• Material Procurement:

  Aid the procurement team in finalizing material specifications and evaluating technical proposals from suppliers. Ensure the quality and timely delivery of materials.

D. Safety and Compliance

• Safety Protocols:

  Strictly enforce all

  site safety regulations and protocols

  . Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Statutory Compliance:

  Ensure all construction activities comply with local municipal regulations, environmental norms, and other statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering

  from a recognized university.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  8-10 years

  of post-qualification experience in execution and supervision of large-scale building construction projects (e.g., institutional, hospital, or commercial projects).

• Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of civil construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, MS Office Suite).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and site management skills.
