Description
As a Senior Technician at the car showroom located in Chromepet & Kattupakkam, Chennai, your role involves performing advanced diagnostic checks and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles. You will be responsible for carrying out repair and maintenance work as per manufacturer standards, ensuring timely completion of service jobs with quality and accuracy, and guiding and mentoring junior technicians and apprentices in technical tasks. It will be your duty to maintain proper documentation of service records, job cards, and reports, ensure compliance with workshop safety and cleanliness standards, and coordinate with service advisors for smooth workflow and customer updates. Additionally, you will need to keep yourself updated with the latest automotive technologies and service practices. Qualifications required for this role include: - ITI/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in car service and repairs (multi-brand experience preferred). - Strong technical knowledge of modern automobile systems (engine, transmission, electrical, diagnostics). - Familiarity with diagnostic tools, scanners, and service equipment. - Ability to work under pressure and lead by example. - Good communication and teamwork skills.
