Job Description

Senior Business Development Manager-Woven Fabric/Garments/Knits

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for woven fabric products in new and existing markets.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine product offerings.
  • Identify and target high-value clients, such as large apparel brands, fashion houses, and wholesalers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key domestic and international buyers.
  • Engage with existing clients to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and payment terms to maximize profitability.
  • Proven ability to manage high-value accounts and close bulk orders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a strategic, results-driven mindset.
  • Work closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure products align with client needs and market demands.
  • Utilize a deep technical understanding of yarns, fabric constructions, and finishing processes to provide guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Oversee fabric sampling, trials, and approvals to ensure commercial viability and quality standards.
  • Manage a sales team, providing coaching, guidance, and motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), sales pipeline, and profitability.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and market insights to senior management.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education:

    A bachelor's degree in Textiles, Business, or a related field; an MBA is often preferred.
  • Experience:

    A minimum of 810 years of experience in business development or sales within the woven fabric industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics, including different constructions, qualities, and dyeing techniques is an added advantage.

    • Ability to think strategically, work independently, and lead a team.
    • Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and international events.
