About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the IT function of a leading Financial Market Infrastructure organization. The role is part of a high-visibility IT Transformation Programme, focused on modernizing critical applications within Clearing, Settlement, and Risk ecosystems in Capital Markets.The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge, strong analytical skills, hands-on functional testing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technology and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business AnalysisEngage with business units to understand processes across Clearing, Settlement, and Risk.Gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and translate needs into clear functional documentation.Prepare BRD, SRS, BRS, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams.Work closely with product owners, architects, and technical teams to shape solution design.2. IT Transformation Program SupportContribute to the modernization strategy for post-trade systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business/IT/Vendor) to align with target enterprise architecture.Support phased evolution of legacy systems into modular, scalable components.Participate in prioritization and backlog management for transformation deliverables.3. Functional TestingPrepare test strategy, test scenarios, test scripts, and test plans.Perform manual functional testingincluding writing and executing detailed test cases.Conduct integration, system, regression, and beta testing.Maintain defect logs, coordinate with developers for resolution, and publish test cycle reports.4. Stakeholder ManagementManage interactions with senior-level business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.Facilitate walkthroughs, discussions, and reviews for BRDs, test plans, and change requests.Ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, risks, and expectations.5. Project CoordinationTrack delivery timelines, dependencies, and milestones.Support Agile ceremonies such as grooming, sprint planning, and demos.Manage documentation, version control, and change management activities.Work across multiple teams concurrently to drive outcomes.6. Team EnablementSupport assessment and onboarding of team members.Provide functional clarity, resolve blockers, and ensure team goals are achieved.Promote collaboration, structured problem-solving, and disciplined execution.
Mandatory Skills & CompetenciesDomain Skills
- Strong experience in Capital Markets, especially Clearing, Settlement, and Risk
- Understanding of margining, risk computations, and post-trade workflows
- Exposure to platforms such as Calypso, Murex, Nasdaq, Broadridge, or similar
Technical Expertise
- Ability to write and understand SQL and PL/SQL queries (basic to intermediate)
- Experience working closely with technology development teams
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts and API-driven integrations
Functional Skills
- Requirement gathering, analysis, and process mapping
- Documentation of BRD, SRS, BRS, test cases, and test scenarios
- Manual functional testing (no test lead experience needed)
- Understanding of Agile methodology and SDLC life cycle

Eligibility Criteria
- 9+ years of total experience
- Graduation in IT, Computer Science, Commerce, Engineering, or related fields
- Post-graduation (Masters/MBA/MCA) preferred
- Strong domain exposure is mandatory
