Job Description

As a Senior BizOps Engineer at Mastercard, you will be a key member of the Platform Services BizOps team, contributing to solving problems in the Pub-Sub model and leading the organization in DevOps automation and best practices. You should be a natural problem solver with a passion for understanding how things work and a strong inclination towards automation. Your role will involve supporting critical infrastructure for a global company and collaborating effectively within a team environment. Your primary mission within the Biz-Ops team will be to drive the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through tooling and advocacy for change and standards across various organizational functions. We are looking for individuals who are eager to embrace change, excel in automation, and can work seamlessly across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and foster strong relationships. To qualify for this role, you should hold a BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design is essential. You must demonstrate a systematic problem-solving approach, effective communication skills, and a high level of ownership and drive. Additionally, the ability to debug and optimize code, automate tasks, and manage multiple stakeholders is crucial. Ideal candidates will have experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby, and a keen interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. Experience with industry-standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef is highly desirable. You will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient CI/CD workflows that ensure high-quality code delivery with minimal manual intervention. In this role, you will engage in the complete lifecycle of services, from inception to deployment, operation, and refinement. Responsibilities include analyzing ITSM activities, supporting services pre-launch, monitoring system health, implementing automation mechanisms, and advocating for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with a global team across different time zones, share knowledge, mentor junior colleagues, and actively contribute to incident response and post-mortem evaluations. A holistic problem-solving approach and a commitment to optimizing mean time to recover during production events are key expectations. Familiarity with PCI certification is advantageous. Moreover, as a Mastercard employee, you are accountable for upholding information security standards, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity, reporting any security breaches, and completing mandatory security training as per company guidelines.,
