Senior Backend Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with proven experience in building and scaling cloud-native applications in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in designing and maintaining highly secure, low-latency systems handling millions of transactions with zero downtime. You should be proficient in at least one of the following technology stacks:

• Node.js with TypeScript

• Python with FastAPI or Flask

• GoLang

You will play a key role in designing backend services, architecting distributed systems, and ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across a Kubernetes-based containerized

environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services for BFSI

applications.

• Architect and deploy cloud-native applications capable of handling millions of

transactions with high throughput and low latency.

• Ensure system availability, reliability, and fault tolerance with zero downtime

deployments.

• Work with Kubernetes and Docker to manage microservices-based deployments in

production.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps and frontend teams to deliver secure, performant

APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best

practices.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL and NoSQL queries and schemas.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6 to 8 years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years in the BFSI

domain.

• Expertise in Node.js (with TypeScript), Python (FastAPI/Flask), or GoLang.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native application development (preferably on AWS,

GCP, or Azure).

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.

• Proven track record of building and scaling secure applications handling millions of

concurrent transactions.

• Experience with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g.,

MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). Must have worked with ORMs/ODMs like

Sequalize/TypeORM/Mongoose/Prisma

• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2/OpenID, JWT, and other security

protocols.

• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana,

etc.).

• Must have hands on experience with Single Sign On(SSO) mechanism

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in regulated environments or with compliance standards

like PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or

Helm.

• Exposure to event-driven architecture and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
