The Backend Engineer will collaborate with frontend engineers and other engineers to create a functioning program. The Backend Engineer will also repair software or test code to ensure the software functions are as intended.

Essential

The essential duties of the position include the following, and other duties may be assigned:

• Designs and develops applications across multiple modules utilizing .NET, C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, etc.
• Write optimal and efficient code using object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.
• Provide full technical documentation to a given standard while storing as directed.
• Confirm program operation by coordinating with colleagues to conduct necessary tests, while debugging and modifying program sequence and/or code.
• Perform scheduled maintenance as required and support the existing application.
• Arrange project requirements in programming sequence, providing estimations on deliverables using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
• Develop solutions for all tiers of the application: user interface, business logic, database, workflows, and reporting, and be a key contributor to innovation while building proof of concept examples that can be leveraged across current and future solutions.

Education/Experience:

An associate or bachelors degree in computer science or related is preferred. 5-8 years of Experience in Dotnet Technologies. Must have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Must have a working knowledge of any one of the Frontend Development Stacks like Angular or React.

Language

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write moderately complex correspondence. Ability to effectively converse and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math

Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide on all units of measure, using whole numbers, common` fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percents.

Reasoning

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret feedback from non-skilled technical system users to uncover the source of problems and persistence to efficiently provide solutions. Extreme attention to detail is required to ensure proper documentation of facts. Ability to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints, maintaining the security of data, competing priorities of high significance to the successful function of the department.

A significant comfort level in using accounting software and a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office products, web browsers, and CRM tools.
