Role:

We are seeking an exceptional backend engineer to be the backbone of our product. This is a hands-on role for someone who can design scalable systems, solve complex technical challenges, and guide frontend integration while ensuring

reliability, efficiency, and scalability

. If you're a fast learner, thrive in ambiguity, and are passionate about building world-class products, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Actively code and contribute to critical backend components with high-quality standards.
Own product design, reliability, and execution across the stack (BE/FE).
Solve complex technical problems, from database optimization to distributed system design.
Stay on top of new technologies and drive adoption where impactful.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and leadership.
Collaborate closely with product/design teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Must-Have Qualifications

3 6 years of backend development experience.
Backend expertise:
Deep knowledge of Python (mandatory) plus hands-on experience with other languages.
System design:
Proven ability to architect scalable, resilient distributed systems.
Databases:
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL (esp. MySQL).
FE/BE communication:
Understanding of modern frontend (React, JS) and BE FE interaction (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).
Cloud:
Experience with AWS/Google Cloud.
AI & Data Engineering:
Strong grounding in data engineering, with bonus points for experience building with AI/agent-based systems.
Leadership:
Experience mentoring teams and conducting thorough code reviews.
Collaboration:
Skilled at communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Go.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
Health-tech domain knowledge (HIPAA, data security).
Open-source contributions or a strong portfolio.
