Senior Backend Developer - AWS Certified

What You’ll Do:

• Take full ownership of features across the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)—from design to deployment and beyond.
• Architect scalable APIs and services using Node.js + Express and collaborate closely with frontend developers using React and Tailwind CSS.
• Model and manage data efficiently with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Design and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS—leveraging EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and more.
• Build robust integrations with third-party services, internal tools, and cloud functions.
• Debug, profile, and optimize backend performance—be the go-to person for backend decisions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices for testing, deployment, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to ship features aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and help shape the company’s technical direction.

You Should Have:

• 3+ years of full stack development experience, with strong expertise in Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect (or proven equivalent hands-on AWS expertise).
• Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, data modeling, and system design.
• Experience working in lean, fast-moving teams (startup/product-led environment preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a sense of ownership.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, or Mongoose).
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, or serverless functions.

Bonus Points For:

• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless stack (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Building 0-to-1 products or MVPs from scratch.
• Strong testing experience (unit/integration) and monitoring tools.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
