Senior Automation QA

As a Senior Software Developer in Test at our Indore office, you will be an integral part of the product engineering team responsible for maintaining and supporting our Vena Excel Desktop Add-in, a crucial product used by a large and growing customer base. Your expertise in software QA engineering will be vital in ensuring the quality of our product and code base through automation testing, process improvement, and defect investigation to provide top-notch product support. **Role Overview:** You will play a key role in analyzing project requirements to identify test needs, developing and managing automated UI and API tests, implementing testing methodologies, executing test strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring test metrics, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines. Your mentorship and leadership will be essential in elevating the QA and testing practices within the department. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze projects and requirements to determine test requirements - Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests - Contribute to the implementation of testing methodologies and frameworks - Execute test strategies for functional, integration, and regression testing - Collaborate with teams to build test plans and review testing strategies - Produce documentation on testing architecture and best practices - Monitor test metrics and pipelines for reliability and scalability - Mentor colleagues and enhance departmental knowledge of QA best practices **Qualifications Required:** - 6+ years of experience in a test development role, preferably in an Agile environment - Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent field - Proficiency in testing methodologies, frameworks, and software fundamentals - Familiarity with development/bug tracking tools like GitHub and JIRA - Expertise in .NET/C# or Java, MS Excel, and relational databases - Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Datadog) - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, TeamCity) - Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with VBA, JavaScript/TypeScript - Prior experience in mentoring or coaching roles Join our developer-focused team culture where your self-motivation and passion for innovation will thrive.
