Senior Automation Engineer

The Senior Automation Engineer (Maintenance) role entails overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of automated systems to ensure optimal performance, fault resolution, and support for continuous improvement initiatives. The primary focus is on enhancing equipment uptime, reliability, and efficiency within a highly automated setting. Responsibilities include leading and coordinating maintenance activities for automated machinery, control systems, robotics, and PLC-based systems. This involves troubleshooting complex automation issues related to PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, servo drives, and industrial sensors. The role also requires the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance plans for automation systems, performing root cause analysis of equipment failures, and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, the Senior Automation Engineer (Maintenance) will be involved in supporting the installation, commissioning, and validation of new automation equipment, collaborating with various teams to enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime, reviewing and updating technical documentation, monitoring and optimizing system performance to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, as well as training and mentoring junior automation and maintenance technicians. Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities is also a key aspect of this role.
