Job Description

As a Senior Automation Engineer at Novartis, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions for the design, operation, and maintenance of automation systems in projects and site operations. Key Responsibilities: - Support internal and external audits - Implement standards - Create regional/site SOPs & templates as needed - Develop Project Cost Estimation & Value Improvement Review - Support Project Charter, Business Case, and CAR - Develop and implement Coding (DCS/Scada/PLC's/Control Networks) - Design, implement, and maintain Historian Configuration for modules/visualization/OPEX - Implement Software Change Controls associated with automation/system changes - Own and develop automation solutions tailored to the manufacturing environment's specific needs - Take an active role in providing cost-effective solutions for automation investment projects, leveraging best practices and expertise across the Engineering network. Essential Requirements: - Degree in engineering, IT, or equivalent - Fluent in English and proficient in the local language - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Desirable Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in automation in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry Novartis offers permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
