Senior Associate

Role & responsibilities

1. Perform detailed searches of public records to determine the history of ownership and any existing liens, encumbrances, or restrictions on properties.
2. Review deeds, mortgages, surveys, easements, tax records, and other legal documents related to properties to verify their accuracy and completeness.
3. Identify any discrepancies, defects, or clouds on titles that could impact the transfer of ownership or the issuance of title insurance.
4. Prepare reports summarizing research findings and communicate any title issues or concerns to relevant parties, such as real estate agents, attorneys, lenders, and clients

Preferred candidate profile

1. Qualifications: B. Com or any other equivalent Graduate
2. Previous experience in real estate title searching, title examination, or related roles preferred.
3. Familiarity with title insurance practices and industry software/tools is advantageous.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and identify potential title issues.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
