Job Description
JOBDESCRIPTION SENIOR ASSOCIATE FINANCE ACCOUNTS
Rolespecific skillsets:
Co-ordinate with multiple teams / stakeholdersand proactively identify problems to ensure smooth month end close.
To open and close ledgers and sub-ledgers
To reconcile ledgers and sub-ledgers duringmonth end close
Prepaids and Accrual
Update / Cross check FX rates and performrevaluation
Execution of all other month end activities asper Financial Closing Cockpit (FCC)
Preparation and processing of manual journalentries including rectification entries.
Prepare accounting period-end timetables andclosing schedule according to Business / Service Unit policy and CorporateControl Accounting (CCA) timetables and obtain necessary approvals andcirculate to stakeholders
Perform Intercompany reconciliations
Trial Balance analysis during close
Perform Balance sheet reconciliations on amonthly basis
Clearing of suspense and other Open Itemaccount balances
Support preparation of standard and ad hocmanagement reports
Responsible for updating SAPSEM andconsolidation sets in SAP SEM
Work on other special projects as needed
Collects budget and forecasting data
Data entry of Budget numbers into SAP
Ensures compliance with DSM internal controlrequirements
Adhering to Internal Control Framework
Support External/Internal Audit process
Act as a SPOC within the team for processrelated issues
Assisting TL/FC in preparing and publishingprocess metrics on a monthly basis

A B. Com/M. Com/MBAdegree along with prior exposure of 2 - 4 years in General Ledger /Accounting to Reporting process in Shared Service Center / BPO or other FinanceAccounting functions or teams.
A flair for workingin a team and working hand in hand to achieve individual goals and team goals.
The drive to bringabout change and a desire to constantly look for ways to use technology toderive efficiencies.
An ability tounderstand the organization s goals and objectives and link them with thedeliverables of the assigned function, in addition to overseeing delivery andoperations.
