Senior Associate Engineer, Java

In the Software domain, you will contribute to the development, deployment, management, and maintenance of software applications supporting business processes and user needs. Key Responsibilities: - Write, test, and document technical work products such as code, scripts, and processes following organizational standards and practices - Produce high-quality technical work products that are clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others - Efficiently debug design-time and run-time problems, identifying issues in dependencies or interactions with other services - Design new implementations and enhance existing architectures to maintain reliability, resiliency, security, and performance - Identify and correct system component issues impacting operational reliability, stability, and performance based on observable telemetry - Follow secure coding practices, avoiding potential vulnerabilities, and actively looking for vulnerabilities during code reviews - Identify automation opportunities to improve team performance and suggest simplification opportunities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS / MIS), Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience / training - 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments - Master's degree in related technical discipline or equivalent experience / training (preferred) - Experience in the Airline Industry (preferred) Additional Details (if present): American Airlines is undergoing a transformation in the way it delivers technology to customers and team members globally.
