Job Description

As a key member of the DTS team, you will primarily collaborate closely with a global leading hedge fund on data engagements. Partner with data strategy and sourcing team on data requirements to migrate scripts from Matlab to Python. Also, work on re-creation data visualizations using Tableau/PowerBI. Desired Skills and Experience Essential skills 4-6 years of experience with data analytics Skilled in Python, PySpark, and MATLAB Working knowledge of Snowflake and SQL Hands-on experience to generate dashboards using Tableau/Power BI Experience working with financial and/or alternative data products Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills Working knowledge of data science concepts, regression, statistics and the associated python libraries Interest in quantitative equity investing and data analysis Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or related field Key Responsibilities Re-write and enhance the existing analytics process and code from Matlab to Python Build a GUI to allow users to provide parameters for generating these reports Store the data in Snowflake tables and write queries using PySpark to extract, manipulate, and upload data as needed Re-create the existing dashboards in Tableau and Power BI Collaborate with the firms research and IT team to ensure data quality and security Engage with technical and non-technical clients as SME on data asset offerings Key Metrics Python, SQL, MATLAB, Snowflake, Pandas/PySpark Tableau, PowerBI, Data Science Behavioral Competencies Good communication (verbal and written) Experience in managing client stakeholders
