Senior Associate - Audit

Summary/Objective:

The Finance Associate supports our global finance and audit operations. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in US GAAP / US Audit / US Accounting / US Tax or exposure to UK / International Accounting Standards, with hands-on experience in financial controls, transactional audits, and preparation of financial statements. This role requires working closely with international teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting. and works closely with House of Spices Inc., This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas of House of Spices Inc., India.

Roles and responsibilities -

1. Support audits in compliance with US GAAP, US Audit, and international accounting standards (including UK and other countries).

2. Support transactional audits, financial reviews, and system audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

3. Support preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and disclosures.

4. Evaluate and strengthen financial controls and internal processes to mitigate risks.

5. Ensure compliance with US Tax, International Tax, and regulatory requirements where applicable.

6. Collaborate with cross-border teams (US and others) for reporting, reconciliation, and audit deliverables.

7. Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.

8. Maintain proper documentation, working papers, and audit trails for all reviews.

9. Experience in financial reporting, transactional audits, and internal controls.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Bachelors degree in accounting & finance or equivalent qualification
2. Six years of related experience
