What You’ll Do:

Intercept and resolve DNS traffic via VpnService
Implement secure DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) resolution
Auto-start background services at boot with lifecycle management
Communicate with backend over secure REST APIs
Optimize for Android 8+ battery and background limits
Handle user permissions, consent, and notification logic

Requirements:

4+ years of Android dev using
Kotlin
Strong knowledge of
VPN, DNS, and Android system APIs
Experience with
multithreading
, foreground services, and RESTful APIs
Solid understanding of Android’s background execution model and permission system

Bonus Points:

Experience with cybersecurity, DNS protocols, or privacy-first apps
Familiarity with Firebase, Crashlytics, or enterprise Android
