You will be joining CRU International, a prominent provider of business intelligence and consulting services in the metals, mining, and fertilizer industries. As a Senior Analyst for Stainless Steel, your role will involve leading and delivering market-leading analysis and client-facing products. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating client and market requirements into impactful thought leadership, robust datasets and models, and engaging with high-quality interactions, all while ensuring the dissemination of knowledge within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Develop compelling thought leadership narratives on a global and asset-specific scale, incorporating cross-commodity insights. - Take charge of global stainless steel supply-demand research, including the construction, maintenance, and enhancement of datasets, models, and methodologies supporting CRU's Market Services. - Manage the organization and updates of customer-facing data series, while also identifying and implementing workflow and model improvements. - Conduct primary and secondary research, establish strong networks with market, industry, and institutional contacts, and consistently integrate insights into CRU's data. - Lead customer engagement activities such as meetings, demos, presentations, and webinars/events, secure keynote opportunities at Tier 1 conferences, and collaborate with the media to showcase CRU's expertise. - Drive commercial impact by representing assigned Market Services, nurturing key relationships, and collaborating with Sales/Marketing on renewals and new business opportunities. - Foster collaboration within the global Analysis team, share best practices, and mentor early-career analysts to support them in client interactions. - Uphold and exemplify CRU values of collaboration, proactivity, and adaptability. Qualifications: - Possess a degree from a top university or its equivalent in a relevant discipline. - A Masters degree (merit or above) would be advantageous. Skills & Experience: - Essential experience in the mining and metals industry; operational experience is highly beneficial. - Strong quantitative skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in managing and interpreting complex datasets. - Demonstrated capability in constructing, delivering, and defending a compelling sector narrative. - Advanced analytical skills encompassing qualitative and quantitative inputs, with the ability to swiftly identify key trends and drivers to formulate distinctive insights. - Performance-driven mindset, consistently meeting objectives and deadlines with high standards. - Commercially astute, understanding subscription and advisory value drivers to maximize client value and sustainable revenue. - A strong team player who exhibits initiative and autonomy, a confident communicator who builds trust across all channels.
