Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Execute sourcing strategies with end-to-end metrics tracking for business and production success.
Create and maintain accurate assembly BOM configurations.
Ensure accurate lead times, production scheduling, and inventory levels to mitigate risk of shortages
Facilitate cross functional discussions on make and buy decisions to ensure optimal production / purchase execution
Build cross functional teams and lead continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals
Coordinate with suppliers, production, and logistics to ensure timely product delivery/completion
Proactively provide status and updates on all critical supply issues (ongoing and new product development)
Place purchase orders
Diagnose and resolve purchase order discrepancies and invoicing issues using 3 way match
Prepare and present regular reports on inventory, order statuses, supplier performance, and annual production/purchase volume

Preferred candidate profile

3-7 years supply planning or adjacent supply chain experience
Planning Principles (MPS/MRP)
Process Oriented
Curiosity for systems and processes, and how they can be improved to work more efficiently
Lead and Manage by Influencing others
High degree of maturity and professionalism
Accountability to deliver on required actions
Team orientated mindset
Has a positive attitude on critical problems and issues that may arise
Effective time management and able to deal with competing priorities appropriately and independently
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Purchasing, Material Planning, Inventory control and experience with different ERP systems would be an asset
Microsoft Office product knowledge including intermediate knowledge in using Excel spreadsheets.
