Job Description

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we re looking to add a Senior Analyst - GBS Procurement in Chennai.

This role will be coordinating activities involved with procuring indirect materials.

What a typical day looks like:

To efficiently and accurately execute core procurement processes for assigned products
To identify and source potential vendors for commodities at best negotiated rates
To negotiate and handle contracts execution process for service contracts
Work on various Cost reduction strategies for the assigned projects
To meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets as defined for the products assigned, validated through procurement metrics
Have excellent coordination and collaboration with Internal Business Partner and Suppliers
Select supplier for placing new orders in accordance with approved Purchasing strategies
To identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes
Will be first level escalation contact to resolve escalations from stakeholders

The experience we re looking to add to our team:

Education: Engineering Graduates in any stream
Experience: 2-3 yrs. in Indirect Procurement / Sourcing / Purchasing / Buyer role
Preference : Work experience in handling MRO commodity sourcing / contract management in manufacturing sector
Proficiency: ERP/P2P systems BAAN / SAP/ Oracle
Mandatory Knowledge of computer software applications, MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint (PF)
Highly effective communication skills with stakeholders and inter-personal skills
Ability to understand purchasing and procurement methods and procedures
Provide reports, information, analysis etc., as required, in a timely, professional manner
Knowledge of P2P tools - end user functionality.
