Programming & Data Processing  Roles and Responsibilities

• Data processing & QC:

  Clean and validate data using

  SPSS

  and

  Excel

  ; create and maintain SPSS syntax/macros where appropriate.

• Decipher crosstabs:

  Build, review, and QA

  crosstabs/banners, weighting and multiple tables features

  in

  Decipher

  ; ensure specs align with the analysis plan and quotas.

• Visualization & reporting:

  Build clear, insight-ready

  PowerPoint

  charts/tables; align formatting with brand and client templates.

• Coding & classifications:

  Develop coding frameworks for open-ends; standardize categories and apply consistently for analysis.

• Tabulation & validation:

  Manage data tabulation and reconcile outputs against specs; perform independent QA checks for internal and regulatory standards.

• Survey QA (pre-launch):

  Run thorough link checks, logic and skip validation, and light UI/UX checks to ensure survey accuracy and usability.

• Troubleshooting & support:

  Diagnose data and scripting issues; collaborate with programmers and researchers to resolve blockers quickly.

• In the Leads absence:

  Manage timelines, balance workloads, work with programmers/research Teams, flag and escalate issues, and share daily updates to upper management.

• Process excellence:

  Adopt and improve best practices, templates, and reusable functions to drive scalability and efficiency across projects.

• Multiple projects:

  Balance priorities across concurrent global studies; communicate status and risks proactively.

Education, Experience, Knowledge And Other Skills

• 2+ years’ market research data-processing experience

  (pharma preferred).

• Decipher expertise

  - Editing crosstabs, Banner preparations, adding statistics in the tables, Adding custom filters, Summary Tables, For custom tables-  creating variables, uploading variables, creating/uploading weights, understanding of weights

• SPSS expertise

  – Writing cleaning syntax’s in SPSS, knowledge of what validation script should be applied to what scenarios. Stacking, Merging, Weighting, Appending coded data . Automate repetitive checks using SPSS macros and scripts

• Data visualization expertise

  - Choose appropriate chart types by question (single, multi, scale, ranking); build on-brand

  PowerPoint

  visuals; link charts to data tables; deliver consistent layouts. (

  Forsta Viz

  familiarity is a plus.)

• Advance Excel expertise

  - PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, dynamic arrays (FILTER/UNIQUE/SORT), TEXTSPLIT/TEXTJOIN, data validation, conditional formatting, error-check formulas, basic charting; comfort with large files.

• Experience in creating dashboards using Excel and familiarity with Google Forms will be an added advantage.

• Attention to the detail

Nice to have -

Understanding of composite variables, multifactor analysis, demand calibrations.
