About the Role

You will join Swiss Re's transformative journey to reshape its global Life & Health (L&H) experience studies (ES) landscape by shaping, influencing, introducing, and maintaining a new standardized, state-of-the-art solution designed for the global L&H experience studies community.

About the Team

The Leap R Migration Team is a newly formed global unit supporting the adoption of the Leap R tool by local experience studies teams. Leap R is built on a global methodology to enable ES actuaries to perform experience studies in R efficiently, thereby generating improved insights for pricing and other key stakeholders.

The Migration Team works in close collaboration with the Experience Studies Centre and local ES teams to deliver on migration goals. The Experience Studies Centre sits within the OVAL and Global Experience Studies team, part of L&H Portfolio Steering & Monitoring (PSM) under the Chief Underwriting Office (CUO). The mission is to implement standardized ES solutions that empower proactive steering of the L&H business to support sustainable profitability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver experience studies using Leap R, migrated from current SAS or R-based tools, in collaboration with local ES teams
  • Meet annual migration targets and validate study results against previous versions
  • Analyze and interpret findings, draw conclusions, and communicate insights clearly
  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures, framework, and methodologies set for the Leap R Migration Team
  • Ensure alignment with global experience studies standards and documentation practices
  • Perform peer reviews and ensure thorough documentation of migration processes
  • Foster cross-regional collaboration to support the global approach to experience studies


About You

You are a collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across technical disciplines and regions.

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 3 years actuarial experience in L&H reinsurance, insurance, or consulting
  • Working knowledge of R programming
  • Strong progress with actuarial exams
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

  • Previous hands-on experience with L&H experience studies
  • Familiarity with various L&H products across multiple markets or regions
