Job Description

A SeniorAcquisition Relationship Manager - NRisresponsible for acquiring and managing Non-Resident Indian (NRI) clients by meeting sales targets and growing their portfolio. Key duties include acquiring new customers, cross-selling banking and wealth products (like deposits, investments, and insurance), building client rapport, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires strong sales, relationship management, and financial advisory skills to achieve revenue targets and client retention goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition:

    Proactively find and acquire new NRI clients through referrals, leads, and market activities.
  • Portfolio Growth:

    Achieve sales targets for various products, including liability products (savings/term deposits), wealth management, and asset-related products.
  • Relationship Management:

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to increase deposits, assets under management (AUM), and revenue.
  • Financial Advisory:

    Provide financial advice on investments, insurance, and other banking transactions to meet client needs.
  • Cross-selling:

    Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients to increase wallet share.
  • Client Retention:

    Implement strategies to retain clients and ensure high client engagement scores, while also managing attrition risk.
  • Compliance:

    Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations and bank policies.
  • Sales Initiatives:

    Support new product launches and participate in promotions and customer events.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Sales and Business Acumen:

    Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Relationship Management:

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Financial Knowledge:

    A strong understanding of banking products, investments, and wealth management is essential.
  • Analytical Skills:

    Ability to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
  • Education:

    A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is typically required, with an MBA being preferred.
  • Experience:

    Prior experience in banking, preferably in retail liabilities, CASA, or a similar client-facing role, is often necessary.
  • Other Skills:

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and use CRM software are also important.
