Senior Accounts Associate

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting

• Manage daily accounting transactions including journal entries, ledger updates, accruals, and expense allocations.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
  

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee invoice processing, vendor management, payment cycles, and collections.
  
• Monitor AP/AR aging reports and resolve outstanding receivables/payables promptly.
  
• Verify vendor bills, manage advances, and ensure proper documentation.
  

3. Reconciliations

• Conduct regular bank, vendor, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
  
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
  
• Ensure timely closure and accuracy of reconciliation statements.
  

4. Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
  
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  
• Provide data-driven insights for decision-making and performance evaluation.
  

5. Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.
  
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards such as

  GAAP/IFRS

  and organizational policies.
• Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and compliance records.
  

6. Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes and cost efficiencies.
  
• Recommend and implement best practices for financial reporting and control.
  
• Support automation and system enhancements within the finance function.
  

7. Team Leadership

• Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on accounting best practices.
  
• Assist in onboarding, training, and performance support for new team members.
  
• Ensure smooth coordination between cross-functional teams.
  

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Required).
  
• CA Inter, CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance (Preferred).
  
• Articleship or prior experience in a

  CA firm

  is strongly preferred.

Experience

• 3 - 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or audit roles.
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as

  SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Tally

  .
• Exposure to CA firm work processes will be an added advantage
