Senior Accountant

Role Overview: You will be reporting to the Senior Finance Manager as a Senior Accountant at Zafin. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around accounting review and financial reporting under IFRS. Additionally, you will assist with monthly financial analysis, modeling, and preparation of internal operational reports. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review schedules, working papers, and analysis to support monthly full-cycle accounting tasks. - Review purchase, revenue, and journal entries in the accounting system. - Aid the Senior Finance Manager in managing the accounting teams of various entities in different regions. - Handle monthly recurring journal entries during the month-end close process. - Assist in the annual external group audit and internal audits. - Support the statutory audit process for group entities. - Implement new processes and controls to enhance financial workflow and expedite month-end closing. - Collaborate with the Finance team on ad hoc projects. Qualifications & Requirements: - Hold a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce or Accounting. - Possess 3-5 years of combined experience in public accounting and industry with full-cycle accounting exposure. - Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting standards and principles. - Exhibit advanced skills in MS Excel and analytics. - Showcase strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to interpret financial data clearly. - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Display strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. - Show initiative, dedication, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Preferred: - Exposure to global accounting practices, familiarity with IFRS standards is advantageous. - Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
