Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Review and verify store deposit entries to confirm accuracy, completeness, and correct transaction classification.
• Maintain and organize supporting documentation for all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable for correct coding, vendor accuracy, and proper cutoff.
• Identify discrepancies or data irregularities, research root causes, and resolve variances promptly.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing reconciliations, ensuring the general ledger remains complete and balanced.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and onshore accounting teams to validate job-related costs, billings, and retention entries.
• Assist with the preparation of accurate management reports and financial statements.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain strong internal controls to support financial integrity.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing reliable financial data and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members in accounting best practices and procedures.
• Coordinate with auditors during annual and periodic audits, supplying required documentation and explanations.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and safeguard company assets.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

  5 years of progressive accounting experience

  with proven proficiency in reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Strong command of
