Senior Accountant

What is the role about

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at Muchhala family office, located in Mumbai Vile Parle (W). The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounts and general family office and administrative functions.

You will work closely with a small, collaborative team of three accountants who are women in their 30s and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.

Candidates currently working in or with family offices will be given preference.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 5+ years of full-time accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Accounts and Tally ERP
• Experience in financial reporting and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Comfortable working with online tools and AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
• CPA / CA Inter / relevant certification is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger maintenance
• Maintain accounts using Tally ERP
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and expense tracking
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of financial data
• Support family office accounting and administrative activities
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external advisors
• Use internet-based tools, ChatGPT, Gemini, and digital platforms for reporting and analysis
• Work independently while collaborating with a team of accountants
