We are a dynamic BSE-listed company with diversified business operations spanning trading of chemicals, minerals, ores, metals, real estate development, and financial services. We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead our accounting division and ensure the highest standards of financial reporting and compliance.

Role Summary

The Senior Accountant will head the accounting division and be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). This role requires expertise in handling complex transactions across multiple business verticals including commodity trading, real estate, and financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and business analytics to ensure the company is effectively meeting the strategic operating plan and adhering to the long-term roadmap.
  • Prepare and review quarterly financial statements as per Ind AS requirements
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings including annual returns and regulatory compliance documents
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors and internal auditors for smooth audit processes
  • Maintain compliance with BSE listing regulations and SEBI guidelines
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements for group companies

Tax Management & Compliance

  • Ensure complete compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)
  • Coordinate tax audits and assessments
  • Handle tax planning strategies and optimization within legal framework
  • Liaise with tax consultants and chartered accountants for complex tax matters

Accounting Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations across all business verticals
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Oversee inventory accounting for trading operations (chemicals, minerals, ores, metals)
  • Handle real estate project accounting including revenue recognition and cost allocation
  • Manage financial services accounting including interest calculations and regulatory provisions

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team
  • Develop team capabilities through training and skill development programs
  • Establish performance metrics and ensure team productivity
  • Foster a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement

Strategic Support

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist in evaluation of new business opportunities and investments
  • Participate in board meetings and present financial reports when required

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Education:

    Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification - Mandatory
  • Experience:

    Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Industry Experience:

    Experience in listed companies preferred

Technical Skills:

    • Thorough knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (

      Ind AS

      )
    • Expertise in direct and indirect taxation
    • Strong understanding of Companies Act 2013
    • Knowledge of SEBI regulations and listing compliance
    • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
    • Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi products trading, real estate, or financial services sectors
  • Experience with ERP systems implementation
  • Due diligence, financial modeling and sensitivity analysis
