Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling complete accounting operations and finalization of accounts independently, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end accounting operations of the travel agency
• Finalization of accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Preparation of Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements
• Manage accounts related to ticketing, tour packages, vendors, and commissions
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, BSP, GDS, and supplier statements
• Monitor receivables, payables, advances, and refunds
• Handle GST filings, returns, and compliance related to travel services
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities
• Ensure proper documentation and internal financial controls

Requirements & Skills:

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an Accountant in the travel industry
• Strong experience in finalization of accounts (mandatory)
• Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and travel-related taxation
• Experience in handling airline ticketing accounts, tour accounts, and vendor settlements
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter)
• Prior experience working in a travel agency
