Security Officer

Role & responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate with other Security officer to ensure the vision and objectives of GSNMT are fulfilled.
• Deal with staff, pupils and visitors enquiries and requests in an efficient and timely manner
• Effectively operate a variety of equipment including portable radios, computers, closed circuit and access control systems.
• S/he liaises with officials concerned as and when needed for fulfilling the vision and objectives of GSNMT.
• Coordinating with the security agency under the supervision of the COO to deploy and supervise security guards in a timely manner.
• Work/Coordination with police for security matters
• Develop and manage budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
• Recruit, train and supervise security guards
• Create reports for management on security status, as required
• Complete any other task assigned by Admin/Operations Manager or GSNMT
• Liaising with CPWD, ASI and other relevant government department officials for the effective Museum and Park management.

Networking with industry contacts at industry functions

Preferred candidate profile:

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in security operations, preferably in hospitality, cultural institutions, Malls or public attractions.
• Bachelors degree; further education in security, administration or similar field would be desirable.
• Adept in computer literacy (including MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Knowledge of CCTV operation, visitor management systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Good communication skills (English and local language).
• Knows the Indian mind-set & tackle calmly.
• Physically fit and alert, with strong situational awareness.
• Basic first aid and fire-safety training preferred.

Work Conditions:

• Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Indoor and outdoor duty areas covering both museum galleries and F&B zones.
• Requires standing/walking for extended periods.
