Security Guard

We are looking for a Security Guard for our Thrissur Residence

The Residential Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of the property, residents, and a family dog at a private residence in Thrissur, Kerala. The role requires constant vigilance, adherence to all security protocols, excellent communication, and a responsible, respectful attitude.

Key Responsibilities

A. Security & Vigilance (Primary Duty)

* Access Control: Strictly monitor and control all entry and exit points. Verify the identity of all visitors, vendors, and service personnel before granting access and log their details (name, purpose, time in/out).

* Patrolling: Conduct regular and unpredictable physical patrols of the entire premises (periphery, gates, grounds, and common areas) during the shift.

* Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems (if installed) and promptly report any suspicious activity or security breaches to the designated contact person/resident.

* Incident Response: Immediately respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations (e.g., fire, medical emergencies, intrusion) following established protocols, and contact emergency services or authorities as necessary.

* Reporting: Maintain a detailed, accurate daily log of all activities, incidents, visitor movements, and handover notes.

B. Dog Care & Management

* Feeding & Water: Ensure the dog is fed and has fresh water at scheduled times as instructed by the residents.

* Potty Breaks/Exercise: Facilitate scheduled potty breaks and brief exercise/playtime within the secure compound.

* Basic Well-being: Observe the dog for any signs of illness, distress, or unusual behavior and report concerns immediately to the residents.

* Supervision: Monitor the dog while it is outside or interacting with residents/authorised personnel.

C. Operational & Administrative

* Shift Handover: Provide a comprehensive and clear briefing to the incoming guard at the end of the shift.

* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all security equipment (e.g., flashlights, communication devices, CCTV systems) is functional and report any faults immediately.

* Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for routine communication with delivery personnel, residents, and authorised contractors, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor

The performance of the Security Guard will be evaluated based on:

* Absence of security breaches during the shift.

* Accuracy and completeness of the Daily Activity Log and Incident Reports.

* Punctuality and professional appearance.

* Positive feedback from residents regarding courteousness and dog care.

* Effective, calm, and correct response during emergency drills or actual incidents.
