Job Description

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role includes monitoring premises, enforcing policies, responding to incidents, and reporting security-related activities. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and patrol assigned premises on foot or by vehicle. Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches. Operate surveillance systems, access control systems, and alarm panels. Check identification, verify visitor credentials, and manage entry points. Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or disturbances. Enforce company rules, regulations, and safety procedures. Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and handover notes. Assist employees and visitors with safety concerns or escort duties. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when required. Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in security or related field is an advantage. Valid security license/certification as per local regulations. Strong observation and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and act quickly during emergencies. Physical fitness to conduct patrols and stand for extended periods. Basic knowledge of surveillance systems and security protocols. Work ConditionsRotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Indoor and outdoor duties depending on site requirements. Uniformed position.
