Summary:The IGA Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Identity Governance & Administration solutions across the enterprise. This role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient identity lifecycle management, access governance, and role-based access controls using leading IGA platforms. The consultant works closely with business, security, and IT teams to deliver high-quality identity solutions and drive IAM maturity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and implement IGA solutions using platforms such as SailPoint IIQ/IDN, Configure identity lifecycle processes:joiner–mover–leaver (JML), birthright provisioning, role management, and workflow automation.Integrate IGA tools with HR systems, AD/Azure AD, applications, and downstream systems.Build connectors, rules, policies, workflows, and customizations as required.Define and implement RBAC, role mining, SoD (Segregation of Duties), and access certification campaigns.Conduct periodic access reviews and provide remediation guidance.Support audit and compliance requirements (SOX, ISO27001, NIST etc.).Contribute to policy creation and access governance framework enhancements. Provide L3 support for IGA platform issues, provisioning failures, access review challenges, and synchronization errors.Troubleshoot connector issues and coordinate fixes with application/infra teams.Optimize performance, improve data quality, and maintain connector health.Collaborate with business owners, application teams, and security stakeholders to define identity requirements.Conduct requirement workshops, analyze access matrices, and map access models into the IGA platform.Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Recommend enhancements to improve identity governance maturity.Automate recurring identity tasks and optimize IAM processes.Stay updated with IGA product updates, best practices, and security trends.
Professional & Technical Skills:Hands-on Development experience with at least one IGA platform:SailPoint IIQStrong understanding of IAM concepts:provisioning, JML lifecycle, RBAC, SoD, access certifications.Experience creating workflows, rules, policies, forms, connectors, and customizations.Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, SSO, SAML, OAuth, REST APIs.Good scripting skills (Java, BeanShell, PowerShell, Python — depending on product).Relevant certifications:SailPoint Certified Engineer, CISSP (nice to have).Experience with cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 8+ years of IAM experience with at least 2–3 years in SailPoint implementation.This position is based at our Bengaluru office.A 15 years full time education is required.Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.Effective communication and stakeholder management.Ability to work independently as well as part of a global IAM team.Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
