Job Description

As a Security Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, your role involves providing a managed service to clients to ensure the continuous operation of their Security Infrastructures and systems. By proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, you play a crucial role in restoring service to clients. Your primary objective is to review client requests or tickets, apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them within service level agreements, and focus on second-line support for incidents and requests of medium complexity. You may also contribute to project work when required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Proactively monitor the work queues. - Resolve all incidents/requests in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA. - Update tickets with resolution tasks performed. - Identify, investigate, and analyze issues and errors, logging all incidents promptly. - Provide second-level support for incidents, requests, and identify root causes. - Communicate with other teams and clients for support extension. - Execute changes with risk identification and mitigation plans. - Follow the shift handover process, highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks. - Escalate tickets when necessary and work with automation teams for task optimization. - Collaborate with various resolver groups and provide assistance to L1 Security Engineers. - Lead initial client escalations for operational issues and contribute to the change management process. - Audit and analyze incident and request tickets for quality, recommending improvements. - Produce trend analysis reports for automation tasks and optimization efforts. - Contribute to project work and disaster recovery functions as required. **Knowledge and Attributes:** - Communicate and work effectively across different cultures and social groups. - Plan activities and projects in advance, considering changing circumstances. - Maintain a positive outlook in the workplace and work well under pressure. - Apply active listening techniques and adapt to changing circumstances. - Focus on client satisfaction and create a positive client experience throughout interactions. **Academic Qualifications and Certifications:** - Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent qualification. - Relevant certifications in supported services, with CCNA certification as a must and CCNP in Security or PCNSE certification as good to have. **Required Experience:** - Moderate level of relevant managed services experience in handling Security Infrastructure. - Working knowledge of ticketing tools, preferably Service Now. - Experience with ITIL processes and working with vendors and/or 3rd parties.
