Securities Research Analyst

• Provide support in the editing and publishing functions within the Global Research and Economics Group in Wells Fargo Securities
• Post research documents to market data vendors, update mailing lists, and provide web site access to clients and vendors
• Support the creation of research packets
• Receive direction from leaders
• Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Securities Investment research, financial services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• The role involves working closely with the US deal team on pitchbooks, peer analysis, opportunity analysis, and other industry-related materials, with significant opportunities to learn, develop and work as an integral member of the business.
• Work on various work streams that form key components of M&A Buy or Sell side deals and pitches
• Assist in preparing Pitch books, including industry overviews, company profiles, strip profiles, management biographies, brokers' outlook, share price performance, deal case studies, possible buyer/seller opportunities
• Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, buyer or target identification, company/M&A screening and newsletter preparation
• Work independently on complex projects and deliver high quality deliverables
• Effectively communicate with key stakeholders in the US
• Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, especially Power Point and Excel
• Knowledge of database tools FactSet, Mergermarket, Dealogic, Thomson One, Capital IQ, Factiva, and Bloomberg
• Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables

Job Expectations:

• Outstanding academic qualifications MBA, CA or MS Finance from a premier institute
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
