Securities & Derivatives Manager

As a Securities & Derivatives Manager, your role involves providing leadership and direction to a team for processing orders and transactions related to trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions. Some of your key responsibilities include: - Executing securities transaction processing for Securities Clearance Settlement and Derivative Operations - Formulating procedures and techniques to enhance team productivity and meet performance goals - Serving as an analytical and procedural expert, being the first point of escalation for staff, management, and clients - Identifying control gaps during settlement cycles and implementing solutions to mitigate risks - Analyzing data to identify control deficiencies and resolving issues through appropriate procedures - Acting as an advisor to new/junior staff members - Assessing risks in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations To qualify for this role, you should have: - 10-12 years of relevant experience - Experience in securities transactions processing - In-depth knowledge of settlement cycle concepts and procedures - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education requirement: - Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides an overview of the work performed.
