Description
Carry out mechanical equipment group activities, including preparation and updating of technical specifications and datasheets. Evaluate vendor offers and conduct technical bid analysis for equipment and packages. Prepare equipment layouts for warehouse areas, process areas, and utility areas, working closely with draftsman. Manage multiple projects as Lead Engineer, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality management systems. Coordinate with projects, piping, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams during design execution. Timely completion of documents and drawings, and obtaining client approvals. Develop and implement activities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in the department. Requirements Mechanical Engineering degree is a must. Minimum 20+ years of experience in Mechanical Department of a consultancy organization. Understanding of process P&IDs and instruments. Knowledge of utilities, water systems, rotary equipment, process equipment, pumps, CIP, hygienic design. Working knowledge of warehouse equipment, process equipment in FMCG, food, pharmaceutical. Knowledge of utilities systems, such as cooling water systems, boilers, compressed air, and instrument air systems. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines. Good understanding of requirements of downstream groups, such as piping, instrumentation, and mechanical. Awareness of software like AutoCAD and Navis Works. Leadership qualities and ability to lead and guide a group of engineers. Understanding of project requirements, such as productivity and schedule work hour control. Participation in safety reviews, such as HAZOP and SIL. Participation in 3D model reviews. Experience in preparation of FEED documents and PMC projects. Exposure to national and international codes and standards.
