Secondary English Teacher

As a Secondary English Teacher at our academic institution, you will play a crucial role in shaping the English language and literature skills of students in Grades 6 to 10. Your responsibilities will include: - Planning and delivering engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the State Board curriculum. - Teaching prose, poetry, grammar, writing skills, and comprehension based on syllabus requirements. - Preparing comprehensive lesson plans, notes, assignments, and test papers. - Conducting regular assessments to evaluate student progress and providing constructive feedback. - Fostering the development of critical thinking, reading, and writing skills among students. - Encouraging active participation through discussions, debates, and literary activities. - Maintaining discipline to create a positive and conducive learning environment. - Collaborating with fellow subject teachers and actively participating in school programs and workshops. To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications: - Hold a Bachelor's Degree in English (B.A.) and possess a B.Ed. with English as a teaching subject. - Have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, with a strong command over spoken and written English. - Demonstrate familiarity with State Board academic requirements and assessment standards. Desirable skills that would be beneficial for this position include: - Ability to integrate technology effectively in classroom teaching. - Demonstrated creativity in lesson planning and utilization of teaching aids. - Strong classroom management skills and effective communication abilities. - A passion for literature and language development.
