As a Secondary English Teacher at our academic institution, your role will be crucial in imparting knowledge and fostering a love for English language and literature among students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons while ensuring alignment with the State Board curriculum. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver interactive English language and literature lessons for Grades 6 to 10, covering prose, poetry, grammar, writing skills, and comprehension. - Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, notes, assignments, and test papers to assess student understanding and progress. - Conduct regular assessments, provide constructive feedback, and work towards developing critical thinking and writing skills in students. - Encourage student participation through discussions, debates, and literary activities to enhance learning outcomes. - Maintain discipline in the classroom and create a positive learning environment conducive to academic growth. - Collaborate with other subject teachers, actively participate in school programs, and engage in workshops to contribute to the academic community. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in English (B.A.) and B.Ed. with English as a teaching subject are mandatory. - Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred. - Proficiency in spoken and written English with a strong command over the language. - Familiarity with State Board academic requirements and assessment standards is essential.
