Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable data processing applications using Scala and Apache Spark.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize and refactor existing applications to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Ensure the quality of code through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in our production and non-production environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software development.
  • Deep expertise in Scala with a strong understanding of functional programming principles.
  • Extensive experience with Apache Spark, including Spark SQL, DataFrames, RDDs, and NoSQL.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and data architecture.
  • Proficiency with build tools like sbt and dependency management.
  • Experience with version control systems (e. g., Git).
  • Experience implementing RESTful web services in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages.
